Sun 1st March - I heart Perth!

I forget to put my clock forward and end up sleeping til after 11am! Wow, that’s the first time ever this holiday!! We’re all the same and come staggering out to the kitchen all bleary eyed but happy. Trent makes up a wicked breakfast – the food just keeps coming – and we eat outside in the nice sunshine. This is the life!
Once everyone is up and dressed, Lucy comes back from work and we’re off into the city. I keep reminding Dave that my birthday is in a few days so he best be off to buy a wee pressie! Perfume would be nice – haha! I get to spend a good girlie day with Lucy in clothes shops – yay – shops that have clothes in NORMAL sizes and not Thai sizes! I end up buying a cute dress for £12 and top for £8 – good eh!? It’s crap being in the same clothes day-in day-out for months on end. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it!
After a pint in the most expensive pub in Perth….thanks Trent….haha, we head back for a quick change as we’re off out for tea in Freemantle – or FREO as the locals call it. I think you can basically put an ‘o’ after any word and abbreviate it round here.
We have dinner at ‘Little Creatures’ on the harbour, which is this massive bar/restaurant based in a brewery. It’s definitely where the beautiful people eat and drink! We leave the ordering to the experts – The McGuppy’s – and get presented with a right array of goodies. There’s octopus, olives with feta, kangaroo skewers, 2 different types of pizza and fries n dips – lovely picky type food – I LOVE THIS PLACE!! The boys are on the real ale stuff and I have a long-awaited pint of cider…..tasty tasty. Everyone should give up their favourite drink for at least 2months and see how GOOD it tastes when they come back to it – highly recommended peeps!!
After a dinner, we have a wander around the harbour and take a walk into a fish market and then have another drink in this uber cool bar. Lucy’s work colleague is having a ‘Bar Warming’ Party so we’re off on a bit of drive to their place. Let me explain what this is exactly……basically, someone buys a fully functioning bar for their garden / BBQ area and then invites everyone around to come see it. Pretty much like ‘whooohooo, look at us, aren’t we so cool with our brand spanking new bar?’ in a nutshell….bitchy? me? Not a chance!?
Well, when we get to this place it is unbelievable! This couple are 24years old and own a show home of a bungalow!! It’s got 4 bedrooms, a massive kitchen with one of them funky fridges that dispenses ice and water (I want please) a games room, a dining room and then a kick-ass garden with an undercover part for their huge bar and BBQ area – AVEC sink!!!!!!!!!!!! We sooooo have to sell up and move out here – your money goes so much further!!
Anyways, it lovely to see how the other half live but we don’t end up staying very long as we need to get organised for a boat trip tomoz! Whoopwhoop! We say our goodbyes and trek back to Guppy mansions. The boys end up staying late downing their whiskeys and beers – silly boys…..
