Whooohooo – Guess who’s an old fart today?! Haha. I go meet the boys and get to ‘open’ my pressie from Dave and my card from Dad! Good ol’ Dave has bought me a practical present – 2 dry bags…..’wow’, I hear you say, ‘Dave spoils you rotten!’ - but on a serious note, they will aid my packing skills in the rucksack department (I’ll just make him buy me some perfume from duty free soon!!) Aaron decides as it’s my birthday, he wont be mean at all and so gets cooking the feast that is breakfast! Unfortunately, we have to eat it outside where there are hundreds of flies – they are soooooooooo annoying and driving everyone insane. They don’t feck off and keep buzzing around every facial orifice…… not good chat!!!
After we’re all fed and watered, it’s time to hit the pool and bake, which is what we do for the majority of the day! The heat gets really overpowering from midday onwards so I duck into the shade or dive in the pool to cool down. This is the life!! We decide to splash out for my birthday meal and get some nosh from the take away café and just chill in the bar. I get numerous phone calls from home –yay!! Thanks everyone!! It’s a tame birthday for me really – mainly cos I know we’re leaving to go to Cairns tomoz and I can’t do another check-out with the hangover from hell ever AGAIN! When I’m at the loo, the sneaky boys decide to go up to the live singing dude and get him to sing me Happy Birthday – that was nice!! Although, there wasn’t much singing from the peeps in the bar – grumpy bar stewards…..haha…..then my dedicated song comes on and its ‘Tequila’ Thanks Aaron!!! Luckily, I passed on the shots and decide to have a biggie tomoz in Cairns – aka party town!!
